Floor Doctors offers tile regrouting services for floors, showers, and countertops. We have grout available in most colors. We also provide the option of having epoxy grout installed.
Often, the tiles around your home, kitchen, bathroom or office are in good condition, however the grout that frames the tiles is discolored, stained or cracked. Leaving the appearance of your floor and wall tiles stained and looking dull. Floor Doctors can dramatically enhance your floor and walled tile appearance by regrouting. Regrouting your shower rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and patios will leave your tiled floors or walls looking newly restored and clean. We also apply stain sealer to the new grout. The cost of tile regrouting is much cheaper then replacing an entire tiled floor or wall surface with new tiles.
There are a few options for grout repairs. A simple assessment will quickly determine the most practical approach; whether a basic re-grout will do the trick, targeting only the problem areas or an entire re-grout is necessary. Both processes may be wonderfully enhanced by the application of epoxy stains.
If substantial areas of structurally sound grout exist, the faulty grout will be removed. Once the area has been well vacuumed to remove any remaining debris, the problem joints will then be re-grouted. Although this is the quickest and easiest of grout repairs, it is very difficult to match old grout, even when the original grout color is still available. As is the case with any organic materials, an aging process naturally occurs; changing its appearance. The best remedy is a blend of several grout colors to match the primary grout. This seemingly simple step can be tricky and definitely takes an experienced, artistic eye.
Unlike cement grout, which is made from a cementitious powder mix, epoxy grout is made from epoxy resins and a filler powder. The grout is extremely durable and almost completely stain-proof. Regular grout isn't waterproof, so unlike epoxy grout, it can absorb water when it's wet. 95% of installations are done with regular sanded or non sanded grout and NOT epoxy grout. We can safely remove all of your shower floor grout and apply an epoxy grout that will give you a lifetime of a stain free shower floor. Once cured (at about 7 days) you can easily clean your new grout with a simple bleach and water solution that will remove any TOPICAL mildew over time. Floor Doctors uses a true 3 part epoxy grout and not a pre-mixed or urethane grout.
