When constantly wet, the condition worsens in a short amount of time and creates an unacceptable shower that cannot be cleaned easily. When you wax over this ugly surface it only seals in the worn dirty look.

The secret to great looking tiles is great looking grout. Grout is porous and, as a result, it easily absorbs grease, dirt and lime scale. Spillages such as wine, lemonades or any greasy substances could cause marks and patches in the joints in the floor. Grout between wall-tiles, particularly in damp areas like bathrooms, could and will become dirty and unattractive as a result of Mold, Mildew and Limescale.

Mildw is one of the most unsightly problems, it usually starts off in the wettest area of the room, like the bottom of the shower or bath, and if left unchecked it could spread to cover a large area of the wall.

In bath or shower areas, continued use of bleach and acid formulated shampoos and soaps will cause erosion and discoloration of grout joints, causing yellow orange and pink stains to appear on the grout over time, so you should protect your grout using a sealer which forms an invisible barrier between the grout and the surface, protecting your investment for years to come.

The best solution is the application of an appropriate, long-lasting sealant to all hard surfaces, which will greatly help to guard against even the toughest stains.

Our selections of premium impregnating sealants provide deep protection from water, acid, and oil-based stains. Furthermore, we frequently recommend color-enhancing formulas, which enrich the natural luster of stone, concrete, and tile, while furnishing a penetrating sealant to preserve its radiant beauty. In most applications, we offer property  and business owners several options of sealants from which to choose. The cost of re-grouting is much cheaper then replacing an entire tiled floor or wall surface with new tiles.

There are a few options for grout repairs. A simple assessment will quickly determine the most practical approach; whether a basic re-grout will do the trick, targeting only the problem areas or an entire re-grout is necessary. Both processes may be wonderfully enhanced by the application of epoxy stains.

If substantial areas of structurally sound grout exist, the faulty grout will be removed. Once the area has been well vacuumed to remove any remaining debris, the problem joints will then be re-grouted. Although this is the quickest and easiest of grout repairs, it is very difficult to match old grout, even when the original grout color is still available. As is the case with any organic materials, an aging process naturally occurs; changing its appearance. The best remedy is a blend of several grout colors to match the primary grout. This seemingly simple step can be tricky and definitely takes an experienced, artistic eye.
